October 20th marks a momentous day of both historical and spiritual significance for Sai devotees across the world. It was on this sacred day, 84 years ago, in 1940, that Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, in His boundless love and compassion, revealed His true Avataric mission, declaring His divine purpose to humanity.
Sri Sathya Sai Avatar walked on Earth with no destructive weapon in HIS possession, like the Kodanda (Bow) of Rama or the Sudarshana Chakra (Discus) of Sri Krishna. He relied on Education than Elimination; Instruction than Destruction. The good were encouraged to become better, the better to enter the region of the best and the blessed. The bad were encouraged to shed the coil of cowardice, which kept them in fear.
Purpose of HIS Advent
HIS mission was further amplified in a letter He wrote to His brother Sheshama Raju on 25th May 1947. Here are the the extract of the letter in bullet points:
I have a task” to foster all mankind and ensure for all of them lives full of bliss.
I have a vow: To lead all who stray away from the straight path, again into goodness and save them.
I am attached to a work that I love: to remove the sufferings of the poor and grant them what they lack.
I have a reason to be proud for: I rescue all who worship and adore me, aright.
I have my definition of the devotion: I expect those devoted to me have to treat joy and grief, gain and loss, with equal fortitude. This means that I will never give up those who attach themselves to me."

Our Connection with The Abode of Highest Peace
Prasanthi Nilayam means 'the abode of highest peace'. It is the main ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, located near the village of Puttaparthi amidst rolling hills, with the river Chitravathi to its east. The valley houses the divine sannidhi (sanctum) of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sai Kulwant Hall, bhajan mandir, residential complexes, the headquarters of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, its allied institutions.
By the divine grace of Beloved Baba our SSSGC Zone1 has recently taken up a new initiative "Prasanthi Connection" through which we will be sharing all important initiatives & updates from Prasanthi Nilayam.
Prasanthi Connection Team members will also strive hard to facilitate and help the devotees (of Zone1) with the logistics in Prasanthi Nilalayam.
