Sai Ram Dear National Presidents,

We have had many inquiries about service to help those affected in eastern Europe. Please pass on the following information from our Zonal Disaster Response Commitee Chair, Mr. Rajen Ghayal:

Sai Ram Everyone,

Due to the conflict occurring in Ukraine, many people are suffering.

Globally, non-governmental organizations have mobilized humanitarian relief efforts to render assistance to the desolate Ukrainians victims and to the distressed refugees in neighboring countries.

Communities and organizations in the sheltering countries are in critical need of supplies including clothing, food, hygiene items, sleeping bags, tents, toiletries, etc.

By Swami's Grace and Blessings, after surveying the victims' needs, the Sai Disaster Response Team of SSSGC has taken initiative to research ways in which assistance can be provided to local Ukrainian churches and organizations which have means to transport the needed supplies (listed in the attachment) to the affected areas. We have identified several private organizations that are facilitating supply delivery. Until the SSSGC establishes contact with local Sai centers and trusted contacts to establish our own drive, the following may be worthy of consideration for those who feel compelled to send assistance. We as an organization are not directly or officially involved in the collection or distribution with these organizations:

  1. The Saint Stephen Church Parish Bulletin 1344 White Oak Bottom Road, Toms River, NJ, 08755. Pastor of Parish – Reverend Volodymyr Popyk. Rectory Phone 732-505-6053 Pastor’s cell: 609-372-7161 Email: pastor@ststephenchurch.us Website: www.ststephenchurch.us Instagram: st.stephenu.c.c

  4. Please explore the Ukrainian churches and organizations found locally in the vicinity of your residence in your own community. Most of them are all actively involved in supplies and funds collection drives.

  5. Sarva Dharma Service Center If you are motivated to render assistance by monetary contributions, then you can also use the Sarva Dharma Service Center IRC 501-c-3 account to facilitate the transfer of funds for the cause. For the humanitarian relief efforts, you can route donor contributions in the following manner:

Donors who do not know how to use Zelle, can mail checks payable to Sarva Dharma Service Center, and forward to SDSC, 144 West Farms Road, Farmingdale, NJ 07727. The SDSC contact link ( https://saiservice.org/#contact) provides details on ways to send.

Please note, donors should mention "Ukraine Relief" in the memo line of the checks.

With loving Sairams,
